The Beauty of Crimea

This page isn't connected with Egypt absolutely. But here i wanted to share with my friends the feeling of pride and gladness for the wonderfull corner of my country - exactly for the southern part of Ukraine - The Crimean Peninsula, also known as Crimea.

After my voyages to another countries and seeing their beauty i always return to this place, not only because it is "a world in miniature" but because it's so native and home for me.. Every year, every summer i find myself here, my first visit was a long time ago..i was half a year baby :o) At that time i was in the circle of my grandmas, aunties, uncles and others "anxious" relatives who didn't give me any possibility to know Crimea deeper (except twenty-four-hour idleness on the beach and uninterrupted filling of my baby's tummy by granny's cakes). But thanks God now i can discover the real heart of Crimea with my friends and alone.

It is possible to find everything here. Seriously! Just think about what you need to your soul and eyes and body - you will find all that here. Gold beaches...two seas - sea of Azov and of course the Black sea...mountains...ancient caves...waterfalls...wide valleys and secret bays...dolphins splashing near the coast...ruins of a great ancient cities - footsteps of a Greek dominion, still here after more than 2500 years...meeting of Islam and Christianity: Russians and Ukrainians live here side by side with native population of Crimea - Tatars (after Turkish conquest of Crimea and formation of Crimean Khanate)...because of this - bright churches seeing from the trees and small old mosques embellishing the sky by their pointed minarets. What else? History and antiquities in Kerch (Pantikapey), Sevastopol (Khersones), Feodosia and Bakhchisaray...Noise, colours and night life in Yalta, Alushta and Feodosia...Beaches, kid's screams and laugh in Yevpatoria...Loud ports in Sevstopol, Feodosia and Kerch... Primeval divine nature, sound of the waves and heavenly silence in Gurzuf, Koktebel, Foros, Mishor, Sudak and Noviy Svet...

Of course our mountains aren't Everest..and our waterfalls aren't Niagara or Anhel...and our seas aren't Red or Mediterranean...but it couldn't be the same because Crimea is a world in miniature, just like a pocket globe :o)))

So enjoy my Crimea, accept it's beauty and share my pleasure!
